Today we decided to try our same banana chocolate chip cookie recipe from yesterday because we thought the cookies were tasty and we wanted to perfect the recipe. We softened the butter yesterday, but in the referenced recipe, they used melted butter. We tried using melted butter and it actually made the batter more runny. So we decided to just make cookie bars by spreading the batter on a cookie sheet and it worked pretty well, other than being baked unevenly in the oven. It is actually fine because this recipe does not use any eggs! I would make these again because I love cookie bars!

After a failed attempt of crepes, we wanted to make something simple and easy to make some money. We wanted to make chocolate chip cookies, but since we did not have eggs, we found another substitute, bananas! Yes, it actually worked, the banana tasted really well with chocolate! We will probably be making these a lot more after this! We experimented with different variations of the ingredients and finally have a final recipe! After many failures and experiments. we were able to perfect the banana chocolate chip cookie recipe!
Love, Kim & Lily This was Kim and I's first time not baking together in our class! We got put into different groups and I got to make chocolate cupcakes with cookies and cream frosting! We followed the following recipe step by step, except we used a little less powdered sugar in the frosting. Our cupcakes surprising came out of the oven looking perfect and our frosting looked amazing! If I made this again, I would make the cupcake more moist and put less cream cheese in the frosting! Overall, I think this cupcake was the best baked good I have made all week!
Love, Lily Hey everyone, so today I have another lemon blueberry recipe! These are cupcakes and were topped off with lemon cream cheese frosting. A few days ago, we posted a lemon blueberry muffin recipe. This cupcake recipe is more fluffy and less dense. I made this without Lily, but she made cookies and cream cupcakes which were amazing as well. If you want light, citrus, fresh cupcakes, then this is the recipe for you!
Our teacher had extra pie crust that she did not need so she taught us a recipe she uses with the dough! This is a simple and tasty recipe that you can use for a quick snack or if you want something sweet! This is super quick and easy, they are almost like crescent cookies, here is the recipe!
- Kim and Lily On this day, we were visited by Arles Blaire, a professional chef, who attended La Mesa Culinary School. She taught us her cream puff recipe that she loves to make. Today we will show you all a simple and tasty recipe for cream puffs. We love this recipe because the cream puff is very light and airy and the filling goes amazing with it. We learned from the expert chef. These were so much fun to bake and we loved making everything from scratch. These are very easy to make so let's get started!
Love, Kim & Lily We decided to make unicorn poop cookies! After looking through multiple recipes, we found a recipe on Pinterest. We thought these would be fun to make and required simple ingredients. We actually added more flour than reccomended because our dough was stickier than usual. We did not cool the dough correctly because we moved the dough from the freezer to the fridge. This caused the dough to soften again, making the dough hard to make into a poop shape. We made a batch with the softened dough and put some back in the freezer for hardened dough. Even with the hardened dough, the cookies did not keep their shape. Also, these cookies did not turn out very good because they were full of butter and shortening. They were not kidding when they said these cookies were unicorn poop. In conclusion, these cookies were colorful, but we would use a different sugar cookie recipe.
Love Kim & Lily Today we worked on baking muffins! We decided to bake some delicious lemon with blueberry muffins. They were crispy on the edges and soft and fluffy inside. The lemon added zestiness, which complements the blueberries. These muffins were very quick and easy to make. We made 12 muffins, and 4 loaves with the extra batter. The recipe we used was from Food Network. The recipe will be down below along with pictures of our process.
- Kim & Lily On our first day of baking intercession, we were given a recipe from Allrecipes to make these chocolate chip cookies. We divided the recipe in half, in order to make less cookies. In total we ended up with 16 medium sized cookies, and used the extra batter to make a giant cookie. They turned out better than we expected, the batter was not too sweet and there were lots of chocolate! They were best freshly out of the oven.
